This plug in great, thank you for it!

I’ve had to heavily modify it to get it to work the way I want; I wish there was more documentation on some of the features.
Just some comments:

What does ‘Tail’ and inTail’ mean? I can’t make heads or tails of this.

There is no info on lock and unlock in the docs, either.

‘Reload’ destroys my layout when it is triggered.

JCarousel is great, just what I was looking for!

I expanded it to 10 items and was using the circular mode based on the provided example. Firefox 3 was sometimes loading the carousel improperly; this seems to be a very difficult to account for bug about timing.

After a fair bit of sniddling, I found you need implement the same fix as is in the code for safari: changing the part that tests for safari and binds window.load so it also applies the fix to mozilla resolved this issue.

I just wanted to say how much I love this plugin.
I found this when attempting to write my own plugin to battle the Coda style clones I keep seeing.
Now with your plugin I’ve fixed the annoying scroller thing the coda scroller has(page jump when clicking links that start the scroll animation), as well as found a plugin thats so much more versatile and better developed.
It will be the popular posts: scroller on my blog, Im using a temporary host here:
desopolis.turtlecode.com, I think I’ll have it up by the end of the night working on the clientside. Im still working on getting the serverside to work.

Hi jan, great work there!

I’ve tested with a few similar scripts. Almost all of them will encounter problems with non fixed width thumbnails (say in a horizontal carousel). I’m trying to get this to work with jCarousel. Do you have a clue on how I could get non fixed width images to sit nicely and scroll in jCarousel?

Hi, great script here.

I’m not great with Illustrator or photoshop but are the next/prev arrow icons available anywhere on their own… w/o the faint grey background?

Been looking on istockphoto but can’t find icons that look as good.

This is a great script. I am not the best with javascript so forgive me if this is a stupid question. I looked at your documentation and was trying to make the carousel bigger (wider) to display 5 thumbnails and cannot get it to display. In the HTML I added the following

jQuery(document).ready(function() {
jQuery(’#mycarousel’).jcarousel({
scroll: 4,
auto: 2,
wrap: ‘last’,
initCallback: mycarousel_initCallback
});
});

and in the CSS file I have widen the container but still no luck, it is still only showing 3 thumbnails.

Could this script be made keyboard accessible? Could the next and prev buttons be links rather than empty divs?

Hey Sid, I am also getting this JCarousel error message lately when I’m using Safari browser and don’t know how to fix it………please help us!! I am currently using Firefox browser without problems but would prefer to use Safari!
